Our Core Values

1. Challenging the Status Quo - Truth-telling rooted in the present needs to acknowledge our obstacles as nonprofits, while challenging the system where we practice our craft. We deliver substantive services to nonprofits while wanting to leave them with insights to overcome a status quo which hinders capacity and mission outcomes.

2. Communal Action - Counsel rooted in prophetic wisdom is not found in a single leader like the Executive Director (ED) or external stakeholders but rather, it is found across staff, small teams, EDs, Boards, and all stakeholders. Our value seeks to elicit individual and shared wisdom and ensure that it emerges from the many and coalesces into workable practice, action, and results.

3. Bridge Building - Prophets work in liminal spaces where their work is rooted in bridging today’s realities with tomorrow’s possibilities.  Even when the Executive Director “gets it”, that ED needs the bandwidth to directly align Board, staff, and stakeholders. We guide organizations over this bridge toward transformative change, making tomorrow’s possibilities newly shared realities.

Prophet is not other-worldly, nor does it belong to one person.  It is engendered and elevated across stakeholders who, regardless of positional authority, bring value to problem solving.

Our world and society face enormous challenges.  Our values-based approach helps you meet them.  Hence the convergence of these values results in “The Prophet of Many for the Mission of One”
